Power Banks UK ("we", "us", "our") operates portable power bank rental stations in venues across the UK. We are the data controller for personal information collected through our service. For any privacy queries, contact us at office@powerbanksuk.co.uk.

2. What we collect

  • Payment information processed securely by our payment provider (we do not store full card details).
  • Rental details such as station location, rental start/end time and duration.
  • Contact details if you email us or complete a form (name, email, message).
  • Website usage data including basic analytics and essential cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we use your data

  • To process rentals, take payment and manage returns.
  • To charge replacement fees if a power bank is not returned.
  • To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To improve our service and station network.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process your data under the following UK GDPR lawful bases: performance of a contract (rental transactions), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement), consent (non-essential cookies and marketing), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Sharing your data

We share limited data with our payment processor, venue partners (aggregate rental data only), and IT/hosting providers acting as our processors. We do not sell your personal data.

6. How long we keep it

Rental and transaction records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Support emails are kept for up to 2 years. Analytics data is retained per our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email office@powerbanksuk.co.uk. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted payment processing and access controls.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
